Course Description;
This is the new updated WSET® Level 2 Award in Wines, which now replaces Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits.  

This qualification is intended for beginners wishing to learn about a wide range of wines or those seeking to build on the introductory knowledge gained with the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines. You’ll gain knowledge of the principal and regionally important grape varieties of the world, the regions in which they are grown, and the styles of wine they produce. Through a combination of tasting and theory, you’ll explore the factors that impact style and quality and learn how to describe these wines with confidence.

Successful candidates will be able to interpret the labels of the major wines and spirits of the world and give basic guidance on appropriate selection and service, as well as understand the principles of wine tasting and evaluation.

 What you'll learn;

  • How production methods affect the characteristics of spirits and liqueurs
  • The characteristics of the principal international spirits and liqueurs
  • How to describe spirits using the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting Spirits® (SAT)

Schedule;
At Statera, we have Level 2 wine classes that are held during the day. The class will start at 10:00am, finished by 3:30pm, and run 6 consecutive weeks. (such as 6 Tuesdays in a row)

We also hold Level 2 wine classes as a night course, where the class starts at 6:00pm, finishes by 9:00pm, and will run for 12 consecutive weeknights (such as 12 Tuesday nights in a row)
