Regular access and participation in the course online activities is essential for this mode of study.

For your Study Pack there is a Hard Copy version or there is an eBook version . If you would like the eBook version please notify the APP at the time of your registration. A Hard copy version will be sent if no request is made.
** Study packs are sent out at Registration deadline date.
The course also includes two Zoom Sessions with Statera. These sessions will be to review, discuss, and taste along if you wish. They are optional and not recorded.
The course follows a weekly structure, but it allows the student to work ahead or catch up on the activities and forums.
Once you have registered, you will be provided with the WSET study materials and have access to the online platform. Guidance from the WSET educator will begin at the course ‘start date’ and run thru the 5-week program.
The student can contact the educator any time for the duration of the scheduled course, should they have any questions. Each week includes a series of independent and/or group activities to help students understand wine label terminology and recognize the styles produced by the main grape varieties in key wine regions. Students are advised to taste a range of wines during their studies. A list of recommended tasting samples can be found in the specification. (Samples are not included in the course and supplying them is up to the discretion of the student.) Students can post their tasting notes in the Online Classroom for review by the educator.
Successful candidates will be able to interpret the labels of the major wines and spirits of the world and give basic guidance on appropriate selection and service, as well as understand the principles of wine tasting and evaluation.
